What is User Experience?
User Experience (UX) is how a product feels to the person using it — every step between intent and outcome. It is not how software looks; it is whether people can do what they came to do, quickly, confidently, and without friction.
- Clear
- People shouldn't have to decode software. Every screen should make the next step obvious — what it does, what it needs, and what happens next.
- Efficient
- Good experiences respect time. Fewer steps, fewer decisions that don't matter, and interfaces that stay out of the way once intent is clear.
- Trustworthy
- Feedback at every step: the system shows what it did, recovers gracefully from mistakes, and never leaves a person guessing about the state of their work.
- Inclusive
- An experience isn't good until it's good for everyone — across ability, device, language, and context. Accessibility is a floor, not a feature.
Increasingly, the experience a person has depends on the agents working alongside them — the better the machinery runs, the simpler the tools people need. What is Agent Experience?
